Don Baxter started the business in 1976 with a “bang,” being awarded “Rookie of the Year” with the financial services firm with which he was affiliated. Being encouraged to “learn everything he could,” Don took many specialized courses over the years. He obtained the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation in 1981. Afterwards, Don immediately began working on the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ or CFP® certification, obtaining that in 1984.*
Don has spoken at various civil and religious organizations over the years on investing and financial planning. He also has had several articles published in the local paper and been on television, radio, and quoted in the paper. His registrations with Sagepoint include Series 7, 24, 63, and 65. He is also licensed in Life & Health insurance.
Don is a member and has served as President of the FPA (Financial Planning Association) of Kansas. Don has been very active in the community serving with various organizations. He currently is a member of the East Rotary, Air Capital Cosmopolitan, and the Shrine. Don and his wife Karen have a place at Grand Lake where they boat and golf.
