Don Baxter

Don Baxter founded Baxter & Associates in 1976, kicking off his career with a “bang” by earning the “Rookie of the Year” award from the financial services firm he was affiliated with at the time. Guided by a passion for learning and professional excellence, Don has pursued numerous specialized courses throughout his career. He achieved the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1981 and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification in 1984.

Don’s expertise and leadership have made him a sought-after speaker for civic and religious organizations, where he shares insights on investing and financial planning. Over the years, he has been featured in articles, television segments, radio programs, and newspapers, demonstrating his dedication to educating the community about financial well-being.

Don holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 registrations, along with a Life & Health Insurance license. He has also served as President of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Kansas, reflecting his commitment to advancing the financial planning profession.

Active in the community, Don is a member of Air Capital Cosmopolitan, East YMCA Men's Club, West Wichita Wine Experience, and the Wichita chapter of American Institute of Wine & Food. When he’s not at work, Don and his wife, Karen, enjoy their retreat at Grand Lake, where they spend their time boating and golfing.
